The memorial service
for our late President,
Vice Admiral Sir George Vallings, was held in Guildford Cathedral on
Monday 10th March 2008.
The cathedral was packed with family, friends, old Royal Naval colleagues
and representatives of the many organisations with which Sir George was associated.
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, an honorary
member of the IACH, was represented by Sir Robin Knox-Johnson who was the
first yachtsman to be admitted to the AICH.
